Email Caveats

Important Email Caveats
When changing a CMT account email address, it is important the new email entered is not misspelled as verification will be sent to the new email that is entered.
The Chair cannot modify a user's email (or profile), but they can add, modify or remove a CMT account email from a paper (or their conference).
After changing a CMT account email address, an author's email address in a submission summary page will not automatically change to the new one. It must be changed manually, either by the author or the chair if the author is prohibited from editing submissions.
An email is considered sent by CMT when it is queued up by an email service operated by Microsoft. The service does not provide information on bounced emails.
If both emails are being used as accounts in CMT, the user will not be able to change the CMT account email from one to the other. The user must use an email that is NOT already an account in CMT.
There is no email history for authors to view when they email PC members from the console.
For Reviewers to be able to email Meta-Reviewers, the Chair needs to enable 'Meta-Review Submission' setting with a proper end date, then an email link will appear in the 'Reviewer Console' in the 'Review and Discussion' column for the paper about which they need to email.
'DO NOT REPLY' emails cannot be replied to from a user's email box. To reply to any email from a Chair or PC member, the user must log in to CMT and email from within the conference.
Reviewers and Meta-Reviewers are not automatically emailed when they are assigned papers. This must be done manually.
CMT's email does not act like a conventional email. It is not an email server per se, but a service operated by Microsoft that helps keep things anonymous, therefore it has certain limitations, such as no external files can be attached. All emails must be done within the confines of the conference.
In a multi-track conference, email templates created by Chairs cannot be seen or utilized by Track Chairs. Each Track chair must create their own, and they are not visible between Track Chairs. However, Chairs can see Track Chair templates.
